Morning Modelbuch (5/4/2018)

I like Andreas Bretschneider’s 1619 _Nues Modelbuch_ for exactly the opposite reason I like modelbuchlein in general. Most of the designs in this one are drawn to particular shapes for items like cloaks, knife sheaths, men’s nightcaps, gauntlets for gloves, etc. It’s intriguing to see designs adapted for particular uses. The style of this one is both delicate and baroque.
