This lace border held by the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco reminds me of the delicate points we see in Pietro Paolo Tozzi’s 1604 “Ghirlanda di sei uaghi fiori scielti.” Accession number 53.39.1. https://art.famsf.org/border-53391
