When I put links to old sourcebooks on lace, I always worry a bit since there are frequently few (or no) references and scholarship has moved on. I still enjoy reading them and seeing if there are better pictures of the objects in the plates now available digitally. Additionally, as a non-professional and a mom, I love the hobbyist aspect where someone who is passionate about a subject wants to pass what they know on.
