Morning Modelbuch (12/23/2018)

Since we looked at a portrait of Sofonisba Anguissola’s sister yesterday, I figured a portrait of her mother, Bianca Ponzoni Anguissola, would be nice to have a look at today. The dress is on my list of must makes, with its beautiful simplicity. Her camicia has a beautiful polychrome and gold rendition of a grape vine. Grapes show up in the earliest sets of prints from Schonsperger and there’s another from Hoffman I like.
