I wasn’t able to make it to the “Threads of Power: Lace from the Textilmuseum St. Gallen” exhibition at the Bard Graduate Center when it was there between Sept and Jan 1st (one of the issues with living in Utah.) I just bought a copy of the HUGE exhibition catalog though and cannot recommend it enough! Edited by Emma Cormack and Michele Majer, it is a fabulous look at 6 centuries of lace history. I’ll do a full review once I’ve finished reading, but the book is over 400 pages of wonderful essays and spectacular pictures.
