I really liked the variety of shapes in the open panels as well as the rich texture of the white on white embroidery. It reminds me of the layout of a formal garden.
We see similar work within a few of the cutwork bavari patterns in “Ornamento nobile per ogni gentil matrona” by Isabella Catanea Parasole. Dated 1610
