A fun layering of embroidery patterns and lace is found in this Portrait of Sir Christopher Hatton. I’m in a hurry this morning so picked the easy sawtooth pattern from Foresto’s 1558 Bellezze de Ricami to link rather than searching for the lace or looking for the flowers.
