I’ve been looking for another free copy of Edward F. Strange’s 1902 reference “Early Pattern-Books of Lace, Embroidery, and Needlework” since Oxford Academic changed the name of the journal it was originally published in and put the one that used to be available behind a paywall and it now would cost me $47 to access it for 24 hours. Strange’s article is one of the major references on pattern books before Lotz and very useful. I finally found _Transactions of the Bibliographical Society, Volume 7_ available as a free ebook. The article begins on page 209.
