Posting some whimsical stuff from Andreas Bretschneider. This is specifically the 1615 copy at the Met because I like the handcoloring. Lotz wasn’t aware of this one, his bibliography points to 1619 versions (Lotz #55) There’s an interesting discussion of the differences in the museum description for this item. Definitely worth a look if you are anywhere remotely as nerdy about modelbucher as I am.
