Morning Modelbuch (11/22/2019)
Towel end with birds and deer worked in red at the MFA, Boston, 16th ir 17th century Italian. Accession number 90.66 https://collections.mfa.org/objects/72355
While the pattern shows up in the earliest books, I’ve linked _La fleur des patrons de lingerie_ by Claude Nourry dated 1532 because the birds are in it as well as a hand drawn deer added in the back of the book. The book is bound with 3 others. http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b10548053f
