Embroidered panels from Traquair House made up of unused slips probably intended to be cut apart and put onto other projects. The style of design is the type usually taken from herbals and emblem books. There are also some similar patterns drawn up as counted net in Matthias Mignerak’s _La Pratique de l’Aiguille_ dated 1605 https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/354009
