Since people often ask about what republications are out there, I thought I would share today’s modelbuch mail. I ordered a copy of a 1971 republication of Jacques Foillet’s 1598 _New Modelbuch_. This one is just the book itself with no added preface or additional information. As a collector, I’m excited since I always like having more books on the shelf, but printing a copy of Foillet would be about the same.
You can find versions of Foillet at the BNF http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b8622087n http://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b10537219k
As well as scanned copies of the 1891 Ernst Wasmuth republication of Foillet at The Antique Pattern Library and The New York Public Library
