I’m a sucker for something shiny, and really enjoy metallic bobbin laces, even if I know far less about them than needle laces. This 16th century extant one at the Cooper Hewitt is a rather wide piece. The museum has the material as gold wrapped around a linen core. https://collection.cooperhewitt.org/objects/18444695/
It has similarities to several patterns in _Le Pompe_ dated 1559 https://gallica.bnf.fr/ark:/12148/btv1b8622058x
