One of the standard surveys of historical embroidery, _A Book of Old Embroidery_ published in 1921, edited by Geoffrey Holme. A.F. Kendrick was the Victoria and Albert Museum’s Textile curator at the time and wrote the introduction. Louisa Pesel and E.W. Newberry provided the notes on stitchery.
