Morning Modelbuch (5/24/2019)
A drawing by Andrea Previtali in the Getty’s collection that has quite a bit of detail representing the embroidery. The Portrait of a Young Woman is dated between 1520 and 1525. The embroidery design is very similar to a basic interlace in Quentel, but is made more interesting by being done in three bands of various sizes.
The link is the the second edition of Peter Quentel’s _Eyn Newe kunstlich moetdelboech alle kunst_ published in 1532.
