As I have said before, my foreign language skills are lacking. In many cases that is not an issue, as much of what I’m looking at is picture based. Sometimes, however, I do want to read some of the books that are only available in Italian, French, or German (among others.) Many of the books that are available in the public domain can be downloaded in multiple formats. One of those is full text. That text can then be plugged into Google Translate (or whatever your preferred translation program is.) Here is one I was looking at a few days ago. _Cenni storici e statistici sull’industria dei merletti_. Published in 1873 by Michelangelo Jesurum (Historical and Statistical Notes on the Lace Industry.)
