I hadn’t seen this 1908 book by Edouard Rouveyre before. The majority of the book is a selection of patterns from various of the pattern books, followed by 10 portraits of individuals wearing lace. It is a nice mix of patterns in a compressed format that can be flipped through to see the development of the genre. The editor has ordered the patterns by date, but no attribution to particular books are given.

For some reason the scan at Archive has a biography of Goya attached. Rouveyre is only the first 178 pages.
