Morning Modelbuch (4/29/2019)

16th century Italian trim with fringe. Woven in silk and gilt. At the Art Institute of Chicago, reference number 1984.1548

The geometric pattern is similar to several in the early books like the 1527 version of Schonesperger’s _Ein new Modelbuch_. It is simplified a bit for the size of the trim. The piece is about 5/8th of an inch wide.
