Morning Modelbuch (4/18/2019)

This 17th century Italian sampler on linen gauze in the Art Institute of Chicago has such a modern look to it with the large blocks of color. I find it also interesting to see the patterns chosen have less symmetrical balance to them so they feel so much more organic.
