I’m re-reading Elisa Ricci’s _Old Italian Lace_ as well as helping someone plan a late 15th century dress. Ricci pointed out the decoration on the underdresses on some of the figures in Lorenzo Costa’s 1488 Benevoglio Altarpiece. This is just a note to myself that I need to look for a higher resolution picture of the painting.
