In case there were any question regarding just how modern modelbuch patterns can look, this little zipper pouch from the Met puts the idea to rest. The designer took a pattern from Isabella Catanea Parasole’s _ Studio delle Virtuose Dame_. The 1597 image translated seamlessly to 2017. I want big throw pillows for my couch with the same print.
