Morning Modelbuch (2/5/2019)
Here are a couple of portraits of Cosimo I modelled after Bronzino’s official likeness of the Duke. I find them interesting because the major changes to the paintings appear in the embroidery. That choice would seem to be a subtle one, (and perhaps I’m biased) but I think it is a huge alteration and really highlights the difference in the paintings between these and yesterday’s.
