Morning Modelbuch (1/30/2019)
I’ve been working on a new dress based (loosely) on Veronese’ La Bella Nani. It’s displayed in the same room as the Mona Lisa in the Louvre. Because I’m me, even though I didn’t plan to use the patterns, I still had to look around for a modelbuch connection. The ornament of the cutwork sleeves with hearts and interlace in the portrait turn up in Engenulff’s 1535 _Modelbuch aller art nehens vu stikens_ https://www.deutsche-digitale-bibliothek.de/item/VGAPUFHONTKT3JMLUUSIP6IMZSIVGUTM
