I think these cuffs are a bit unexpected. Large and attention drawing, worn with a pale gown. Even the partlet is light colored. The red makes a serious pop. They’re unusual. The painting is Francesco Beccaruzzi, Portrait of a Lady, dated around 1545. It’s held at the Academia Carrara in Bergamo. https://www.lacarrara.it/catalogo/81lc00193/
