I’m giggling pretty loudly. You remember that 15th century Italian textile with the birds at the Cooper Hewitt I posted Saturday? The page I was looking at didn’t have the acquisition information on it and I didn’t cross-check it with the Met, primarily since it was a slightly earlier textile. Guess who the donor was?
