Morning Modelbuch (7/21/2018)

This is another one of those times when I’m looking at things that aren’t modelbucher so I post pretty pictures from those. This one can’t even be considered part of the mix that makes up modelbuch. Best I’ve got is that it was made in the same period between 1552 and 1555 and you see a lot of the morescos and grotesques like Flotner and Paganino designed for their books. These are from the amazing Jewel Book of Duchess Anna of Bavaria. It’s a painted inventory of her jewelry. I’m currently making jewelry and just figured drooling was a good way to spend a Saturday and to be inspired.
