Morning Modelbuch (11/17/2018)
I’m still cruising through the Cooper Hewitt’s collection and found a couple of 16th century pieces of cutwork that I thought were super interesting. The border is cut to shape and then just edged with metallic thread. It’s a different kind of take on laces similar to some of the heavier bobbin lace patterns in Le Pompe. And I might actually be able to do it this way where there’s no hope I could manage the intricate bobbin work.
