Morning Modelbuch (7/7/2018)

I’ve been playing around with using the modelbuch lace layouts for bavari/partlets rather than the squarish ones I’ve done in the past. Since my dress has an exaggerated collar (may be say a Disney villain collar?) and most of the collar lace patterns are separate, I was a bit worried about getting that right. One of the layouts in Parasole has an integrated back collar though, so I decided to play with that.

I took my doublet pattern pieces, traced them out and then used those dimensions to put the pattern shapes within. Then I laid the pieces back together to see if my proportions seemed okay. A few more tweaks, but I think it’s going to work.
