Morning Modelbuch (10/17/2018)
This is a joke to myself. I’ve been spending the last while preserving the grapes that line my back fence. I’ve made gallons and gallons and gallons of juice, a 5 gallon carboy of pyment (grape mead,) three kinds of chutney, fruit leather, raisins, pickled grapes, frozen pops, granita, frozen grapes, and a spiced grape puree like apple sauce. I’m down to about 20-30 pounds to finish tomorrow. I’m very ready to be done with grapes.
Grapes from Heinrich Stayner’s 1533 _Ein New Modelbuch_. This is a copy of the 1887 reprint at the University of Heidelberg. http://digi.ub.uni-heidelberg.de/diglit/zbkgv1887/0062/scroll
