Morning Modelbuch (5/27/2018)

Just because they’re pretty and colorful and ‘m intrigued, here are pages drawn in ink and painted in watercolor. They’re actually from two different books. One designed by Lunardo Fero and dedicated to Elena Foscara. http://m.vam.ac.uk/item/O117726/designs-fero-lunardo/ The second by Amadio Novello dedicated to Barbara Molin. Also dated 1559. http://m.vam.ac.uk/item/O1263120/design-novello-amadio/ The style is pretty identical. I don’t have any more info than the names and the images from the V&A website but I’m dying to know more about whatever was going on in 1559.
