Another incredible woman writing on modelbucher: Fanny Bury Palliser. Her _History of Lace_, published in 1865, has an appendix with one of the first lists of the books. Her writings were pretty wide ranging with books on heraldry, 19th century poetry, the history of Brittany, the history of Germany, collecting fine china, and lace. She also translated a history of furniture, a history, of ceramics, and a history of medieval art from French to English. Not to mention writing further articles for a couple of periodicals, organizing some major lace exhibitions, and having six children. Like I said, an incredible woman.
