These are from an unusual compilation of hand drawn patterns on pre-printed graph pages dated 1596 held by the Met https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/368249

Lots of the books have extra pages of blank graphs in various sizes as part of them. The concept of someone basically purchasing a pack of graph paper for their crafting seems so familiar. 🙂
