Morning Modelbuch (4/18/2018)

When I first ran across a redrawing of this pattern in The New Carolingian Modelbook, I instantly adored it, and was certain it had to be a modern pattern inspired by old ones. After all, silly jester heads couldn't be that old-- too whimsical. Nope. They're absolutely historical. This is cropped from the recto of page 29 in Hermann Gulfferich's 1554 publication of _Modelbuch New Aller Art Nehens und Stickens_ The Met has the individual pages of their copy scanned and on their website. https://www.metmuseum.org/art/collection/search/684134
